From our side of Sierra College Boulevard, Roseville is the big town next door. At night in December the change is sharp, dark country lanes on our side and block after block of lit houses on theirs. A good share of the Roseville Christmas light hanging we do happens right there on the east edge, close enough to Loomis that the crew can finish a job in town and still be home for supper. If you’d like your place on that list this year, call (916) 675-8282 and we’ll work up a price with you on that call.

Just Over the Line in Stoneridge

Stoneridge runs right up against Sierra College Boulevard, and a lot of it sits up on a rise. Houses up there get seen from a good way off, which is a nice thing to have going for you in December. A lot of the homes are big two-story places with tall gables and long rooflines, and some streets have an HOA with rules about lights. We’re used to that. Tell us what your association allows and we’ll plan around it, whether that means warm white only or no stakes in the front lawn.

Plenty of Stoneridge roofs are tile. That’s no trouble, but it’s not a job for a staple gun either. We use clips made to hold onto the tile edge without prying it up, and we walk tile carefully, if at all. On composition shingle the clip slides under the tab and comes right back out in January.

Oaks and Elbow Room Near Johnson Ranch and Maidu

Head south toward Douglas Boulevard and Eureka Road and you’re in Johnson Ranch, right on the Granite Bay border. The streets are wide, the oaks are old, and the houses aren’t all cut from the same pattern. Those oaks are what we’d light first. A trunk wrapped snug from the ground up into the first big limbs looks rich up close and still shows from down the block. A lot of Johnson Ranch homes have columns out front too, and those are made for pillar wraps. We spiral the lights tight and even, so each column reads as one lit post instead of a loose barber pole.

Just west, the Maidu neighborhood wraps around Maidu Regional Park, and lots there tend to run larger. More yard means space for stakes along a curving front walk or down both sides of the driveway. We push stakes in by hand, clear of the sprinkler heads.

Roseville Christmas Light Hanging for the Older Streets

Over in Sierra Gardens, the houses are older and smaller, mid-century ranch homes on some of the roomier lots in town. Single-story means the roofline is close to the ground, so lights there feel homey and warm rather than towering. Diamond Oaks, around the old municipal golf course, has some of the biggest trees in town. Both areas take well to a simple roofline, a couple of wrapped trees, garland along the entry and a wreath above the door.

    Everything We Handle

We supply every light, so you’re not hunting through the garage for last year’s strands or plugging in bulbs one by one on the kitchen floor. We do the ladder work, the roofline, the tree wraps, the columns, the stakes, the wreaths and the garland. Then we sort out power. Most east Roseville homes have an outdoor outlet or two, and we plan the runs so cords stay tucked and nothing trips a breaker. A timer handles the on and off every night. Want to know more about the house side of things? Our residential lighting page goes into it.

Should a run of lights flicker out a week before Christmas, ring us at (916) 675-8282 and someone will swing by to fix it. After New Year’s, once January rolls around, the crew returns, unclips every strand and hauls the lot away. Nothing’s left hanging into March.

    Close to Home

Between Loomis, Rocklin and Granite Bay, we’re on the east side of Roseville pretty much every day of the season. We light homes, and we also light storefronts, office entries and HOA gates. Tell us your street when you call (916) 675-8282, or on the contact page, and we’ll know which side of Sierra College Boulevard you’re on.
